Greg graduated from DIT Bolton Street with an honours degree in Architecture after previously gaining a Diploma in Architectural Technology from the same Institute. He has spent 20 years working both in Dublin and with an international architectural practice including Mecanoo Architects in the Netherlands, and O’Mahony Pike Architects in Ireland. He has led design teams for the completion of a number of large scale commercial and residential projects through all stages of the planning and development process.

When he is not working Greg likes to annoy his family and friends with his saxophone, piano, guitar...

David graduated from DIT Bolton Street in 2000 with an Honours Degree in Architecture. Since graduating, David has worked with FKL Architects, DTA Architects, and J McSweeney Architects and has experience in a wide variety of commercial, cultural and domestic projects. From 2006-2008 David was President of the Architectural Association of Ireland and has also sat on the Council of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland.

Richard Callaghan (BSc(Hons) Arch Tech, MSc ERT, RIAI (Arch Tech) studied in DIT Bolton Street and graduated with a Diploma in Architectural Technology in 2001. After working in architectural practices for ten years he returned to DIT Bolton Street and received First Class Honours in the BSc in Architectural Technology in 2012 and followed this with an MSc in Energy Retrofit Technology in 2016 also receiving a First Class Honours award.

Richard’s experience spans from preparing planning permissions, energy assessments, tender and construction drawings to site supervision and building regulation compliance inspections on projects encompassing bespoke domestic one-offs, commercial developments and large scale residential developments. He endeavours to bring a focus on energy efficiency into all projects, whether new build or retrofit. He also practices what he preaches having recently undertaken a deep energy retrofit on his own home. Richard is an Architectural Technologist member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.

Eric Govin graduated in 1998 from the School of Architecture Paris-La-Vilette and following 15 years in a Dublin practice as an Associate Director joined Davey Smith Architects in 2016. He has a particular interest in new technologies and materials and he is a Certified a Passive House Designer. He is, and there is no other way of putting it, French and knows nothing about cars or sport!

Andrea studied architecture at Escola Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Valles (ETSAV) in Spain and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). She received her Master in Architecture at UPC (Barcelona) with a thesis based on the re-interpretation of a key existing open space to revive the activity and relations between the town of Sallent del Llobregat and the Llobregat’s riverbed. Before joining our team in 2019, she had previously worked in several companies in Barcelona and Sabadell on private projects from schools and hotels to private houses. She has a particular interest in working with existing structures and refurbishment, and aims to become a Conservation Architect.

Niamh received her Masters of Architecture from UCD in 2019 and joined the office as a Graduate Architect shortly after. Between her Degree and Masters, she worked as a Part 1 in the office, working predominantly on private residential projects, before moving to New York to spend a year working for CDR Studio. There, she gained experience working on urban planning schemes and large, commercial jobs.

During her Masters programme, she studied both in UCD and Denmark, developing a more research-based approach to architecture, focussing mainly on residential and healthcare sectors. Niamh’s experience in the office ranges from domestic schemes to larger urban, residential developments.

Slavica Polic graduated the University of Architecture and Urban Planning in Zagreb, Croatia in 2012. Slavica has been working in Croatia as a Master of Architecture and Urban Planning, both in the private and public sectors, for 4 years. During her time in the private sector, she has been involved mostly on competitions, smaller scale design and urban planning.

On the side Slavica has been known to dabble in graphic and production design.

In November 2018, Slavica started working with Davey and Smith Architects.

On your average day she is a social, creative, pop-culture nurturing extrovert and an overall enthusiast. On a not so average day, she prides herself in doing a very good job pretending it’s your average day.

Since graduating from UCD school of Architecture in 2007, Nick has gained extensive experience working in Ireland, and abroad. Nick spent 5 years working in Melbourne, Australia and registered as an architect there in 2013. Since returning to Ireland in 2015 Nick's passion has been developing contemporary, sustainable housing solutions in the Irish context. In doing so he has gained comprehensive experience of the SHD process in the design and delivery of large multi residential schemes.

Tracy Armstrong is a Chartered Town Planner having graduated from UCD with a Masters in Reigonal and Urban Planning in 2004. Her experience as a Town Planner includes the preparation of planning applications; Environmental Impact Statements; development appraisals and feasibility studies; preparation of Framework Plans; Local Area Plans; and planning appeals. She is a corporate member of the Irish Planning Institute and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Having founded Armstrong Fenton Associates Town Planning Consultants, Tracy works alongside Davey and Smith Architects to provide an in-house planning consultation to our clients across all sectors.

Alan graduated with a distinction from the Masters in Urban & Regional Planning at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and was awarded The Scottish Town & Country Planning Association award for his research dissertation on "The causes of, and solutions to, the affordability crisis in Dublin's Private Rental Sector (PRS)" Inherently modest, Alan doesn’t like talking about himself too much but he is a member of the Irish Planning Institute and the Royal Town Planning Institute also!
