Keepers Lock
Clonburris
Clonburris is a significant new neighborhood emerging in west Dublin. Keepers Lock is the first phase of the development located to the east of the Fonthill Road and bordered by Ninth Lock Road

Clonburris is identified as a new neighbourhood district in west Dublin centered on the Clonburris and Kishoge Train Stations. Keepers Lock has been developed by Kelland Homes as the first phase of a larger development to both north and south of the train line.

The first phase provides 294 dwellings in a mix of residential typologies including apartments, own-door duplex and own-door houses along with a creche and retail uses. The layout has been designed with a mix of public parks and open spaces including an urban plaza with retail and residential frontage linking the development to the train station to the north east.

Close collaboration with multiple stakeholders was required at all stages of design development including the local authority, infrastructure delivery teams and adjoining landowners. The resulting scheme will deliver a dynamic new neighbourhood connected by direct train link to the city centre and charactarised by its cycle and pedestrian permeability and distinctive architectural style. A mixed brick dutch gable aesthetic has been applied to the facades of duplex townhouse typology that faces onto the avenue that runs through the development.
